How sad it was to leave Singapore behind, what an amazing place to visit again after all these years. Our host Alex looked after us superbly, he was an excellent guide, wonderful host, organiser and all round nice guy. It was a pleasure to meet him and spend time in his company. Thank you Alex for a superb guided tour of Singapore, your hospitality and friendship.

My own experience was one of confusion and delight. I liked what I saw of the new Singapore, much more sophisicated and modern than I remembered in my time. I certainly remembered all the street names, but that was as far as it went, all the landmarks had changed and I found it impossible to get my bearings. Huge buildings, lots of affluence and very friendly, cheerful people. The transport system takes you all overthe island, it was inexpensive and efficient as well as being easy to use.

We fly on the Melbourne on Sunday evening for the major part of the tour, arriving in Australia at 6.30 Monday morning.
